The University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, in its policy for online education, has begun to implement digital platforms for the defense of conceptual sketches for the preparation of master's theses and the defense of master's theses. The organization and implementation of these activities is carried out according to a clearly defined protocol recognizable and applicable in world-renowned universities. According to the established schedule and the decisions made for the defense of conceptual sketches and master's theses, which are publicly announced on the UTMS website, the defenses will be realized.
The first online defense of a master's thesis at UTMS was held on March 31, 2020 by master's student Ljubomir Janković, on the topic "Online automotive databases as a basis for pattern recognition in mobile applications". The defense was conducted using the Microsoft Teams platform.
