Practical training is a mandatory part of the Informatics study program and allows students to apply the acquired knowledge in a real work environment. Through the practice, students gain practical experience, develop professional and technical skills and become directly acquainted with modern technologies and work processes in the IT sector.
Practical training is realized for 15 days during the semester and an additional 15 days of mandatory summer practice, in cooperation with ICT companies and other relevant organizations and institutions.
The Faculty of Informatics has established cooperation with companies and institutions from the public and private sectors, in order to connect theoretical knowledge with practice and prepare students for future professional challenges. The report particularly emphasizes the importance of cooperation with ICT companies and the inclusion of experts from practice in the educational process.
Procedure for the realization of practical training
Step 1 – Selection of a company
The student selects a company from the list of companies with which the Faculty has established cooperation. If the student wants to carry out the internship in another company, the choice is previously coordinated with the Faculty.
Step 2 – Agreement for the period of practical training
The student, in agreement with the company and the Faculty, determines the period in which he will carry out the practical training.
Step 3 – Realization of the training
The practical training is carried out in the selected company, where the student is involved in activities related to the field of study and gains direct professional experience.
Step 4 – Confirmation of completed internship
After completing the practical training, the student provides a confirmation from the company for the completed internship and submits it to the Faculty for recording.

Companies for realization of practical training
The practical training can be realized in the companies with which the Faculty of Informatics has established cooperation, listed below.
1. BMB Solutions — Cooperation Agreement
IT company that provides technology solutions and services for business users, with a focus on IT security, cloud and Microsoft solutions, collaboration, artificial intelligence and productivity.
2. GDi — Cooperation Agreement
Regional technology company that develops and implements software, cloud and geospatial solutions, including solutions for resource, process, infrastructure and operations management. GDi has more than 30 years of experience and an office in Skopje.
3. Semos — Cooperation Agreement
Macedonian ICT company with many years of experience in software solution development, system integration, implementation and technical support of complex IT solutions, IT consulting and education.
4. TESSA SEC — Cooperation Agreement
Company specialized in cybersecurity, with services in the areas of security monitoring, incident management, security testing, vulnerability management, cybersecurity consulting and training.
5. Neocom — Cooperation Agreement
One of the longest-standing Macedonian IT companies, with solutions and services in the areas of server and client infrastructure, networks and security, software solutions, cloud, telecommunications and technical support.
6. Edusoft — Cooperation Agreement
A software company founded in Skopje in 1990, specializing in the design, development and implementation of software applications and IT consulting. The company develops solutions for the private and public sectors in several areas.
7. EduCom — Cooperation Agreement
A software and IT solutions development company with activities in the areas of web and custom application development, Business Intelligence, digital forensics, consulting, training and education.
8. Adopt Intelligence — Cooperation Agreement
A company focused on artificial intelligence and the development of AI-based solutions, including the integration of AI into products and business processes, AI agents, RAG systems, automation, AI product development and professional education in the field of artificial intelligence.
